TIS, licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License, is published by the National Coalition of Independent Scholars (NCIS, a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation (est. 1989). NCIS represents independent scholars from every continent and in many disciplines in STEM and the Humanities. Its members include unaffiliated scholars, adjunct and part-time faculty, emeritus professors, graduate students,
researchers, artists and curators. 

All members of NCIS and their affiliated Partner Group organizations may submit manuscripts to the journal, TIS.  Submissions in the form of traditional essays are welcome, as well as creative or artistic material on any topic that could be of interest to the diverse NCIS membership. All submissions undergo a robust peer review process.
